Silverado Testifies Before the USTR on Section 301 Investigation

May 2026

Silverado’s VP of Policy for Trade & Industrial Strategy John Corrigan testified to explain how a border pollution measure could counteract industrial pollution in countries that export to the United States.

“Structural excess capacity is not a problem confined to a single industry in China. The creation and maintenance of structural excess capacity is a foundational feature of China’s economic model, and already burdens U.S. commerce in sectors critical to our economic and national security.”
