Western Hemisphere Luncheon
This week, PRISM convened ambassadors from across South America for a timely discussion on strengthening supply chains across the Western Hemisphere.
Building on our ongoing dialogue around regional cooperation, the conversation focused on how newly announced trade tools from the administration such as Projects Forge and Vault, alongside the financial authorities of U.S. International Development Finance Corporation and EXIM, can be leveraged to deepen partnerships, unlock investment, and enhance resilience across critical supply chains. We specifically focused on how South American countries can develop and scale midstream projects, leading to not only jobs and economic growth, but strengthened supply chains for the U.S. and entire Western Hemisphere. Key to this will be a focus on training, workforce development, and technology transfer assistance.
We were honored to welcome the Ambassador of Ecuador and senior diplomats from Peru, Brazil, Chile, and Argentina, whose leadership and collaboration are essential to advancing a more secure and integrated hemispheric approach. And, equally thrilled to host Sarah Whitten with EXIM, Hugo Yon, PDAS with State Departments Bureau of Economic, Energy, and Business Affairs, and Bethany Aquilina Brez, DFC’s VP of Foreign Policy.
The discussion resulted in immediate, actionable, recommendations from our industry executives to both the US government officials and our South American allies. Stay tuned for progress updates!
