First Diplomatic Roundtable

PRISM (fka Principal to Principal’s Global Supply Chain Task Force) hosted a Critical Minerals Supply Chain Diplomatic Roundtable with the DCMs of Australia, Canada, Senior UK officials and senior US officials, co-hosted with Silverado Policy Accelerator. One of the doomsday scenarios we ran through on Wednesday came true on Friday: "What if China banned or limited the export of Graphite." Graphite is a crucial critical mineral in our everyday life, and in our advanced technologies. China controls over 90-95% of the world’s graphite supply, and it's not a coincidence that China’s Communist Party decided to limit the export of graphite, while supplies dwindle due to the conflicts in Ukraine and Israel.
